Conceived, designed and created in the North East for the North East, Unbox was made to challenge convention and deliver design-led, comfortable and stylish accommodation to showcase the very best of our region.

Situated minutes from the historic heart of Durham City and surrounded by magnificent countryside, Unbox offers the very best of both worlds to explore, visit friends and family or just kick back and relax in an unrivalled setting.

Unbox - An update...

We're fresh out of the block and keen to welcome guests as soon as possible in 2024.

It's been quite a journey so far and there's no shortage of opinion about us out there...

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the huge amount of ongoing support
we've received throughout.

Whilst we're well on our way we're not quite ready yet but we will be posting regular updates here and encourage anyone and everyone who is interested to reach out to us directly.

Whether that's just an enquiry about what we're doing, what we stand for, what we hope to achieve or whether it's about looking to come and stay with us, please feel free to get in touch.

Unbox has three cornerstone ambitions

Whether it's exclusively using local trades, signposting the region's amazing independent businesses or simply promoting the very best of the beautiful place we call home, the North East is at the heart of this project and so too is everyone that's been involved

- Progressive -
Unashamedly unconventional, we believe that new thinking isn't something to be scared of and novel solutions to existing problems ought to be embraced

- Conscientious -

From a design that has considered carbon efficiency from day one to the irresistible urge to improve biodiversity, plant trees and expand habitat, Unbox aims to showcase that development needn't cost the earth and can put something beautiful back at the same time.
